US President Proposes New Global Security Strategy at the United Nations
Following the startling new cooperative, regional approach to security outlined in the 2008 State of the Union address, the US President describes the new US policy for a more peaceful world at the opening of the UN General Assembly, in a short film from Philadelphia filmmaker Kevin Hansen, Statesman Craig Eisendrath, and Bunker Seyfert. Global Oil Supply Crunch: Peak Oil and Why the Oil Wells are Running Dry
Oil is a finite resource. Now, even conservative analysts at Lloyds of London insurers and Chatham House consultancy are predicting oil prices rises to $200/bbl in a new report.

In our short film featuring Pierre Terre, with Bill Burke of the Post Carbon Institute, we find out about "Peak Oil" and why so many oil/gas wells are running dry. We see California oil wells and their ugly, toxic tar residues.
Across the world, oil production is highest just as we reach the end of the lifetime of many oil and gas wells. The year 2010 was predicted as the peak production year.
This is the "Peak Oil" problem.

Blue Spruce Hollow, Episode I:
Architect David Hartke showed Pierre his environmentally conscious new home, under construction in Doylestown Pennsylvania. The home is to become a LEED-Certified or 'Green' dwelling with many energy and environmentally-friendly features.
South-facing, the home gains much from solar orientation. Large sheltered porch living spaces will provide several 3-season rooms. The home uses little/no large timbers, relying instead on strong composite materials made from fast-growing woods.
Oil on the Beach: The Oil is Gone - But The Tar Sticks to Pierre!
Pierre has found a place in California where the oil has run out, leaving nothing but a sticky mess of tar pouring out onto the beach, and it sticks all over Pierre. This is just like oil wells around the world that are running dry now - so new fuels are needed, that do not damage the world.
